We teamed up with Bonanza Collective for an intimate week-long surf retreat hosted by Amanda Djerf and Elin Hagstein, bringing Hakea to the 13th edition in the heart of Europe’s surf scene, Biarritz, France.
We stayed in a quiet French villa overlooking the ocean, where the days unfolded through surf lessons for all levels — covering technique, etiquette, and time in the water — alongside yoga, coastal walks, long lunches at seafood restaurants, and slow afternoons wandering local boutiques. Sunrise and sunset swims became part of the daily rhythm.
Each guest selected a Hakea swimsuit ahead of arrival, ready to wear into the ocean. One of our favourite photographers joined for a special surf shoot to capture the week as it was.
