All orders placed before 9am AEST are typically processed and dispatched the same business day Monday - Friday (not including public holidays). Orders placed after 9am AEST will be dispatched the following business day. Orders are shipped via Australia Post or DHL worldwide. A tracking number will be emailed to you with details of your delivery. All shipping times are estimates only and not guarantees so if you need your order within a certain time frame we recommend choosing express. 


Due to COVID-19 we are shipping all international orders Express with DHL courier to avoid major delays.

Please consider the address you provide, as a signature will be required on all international express orders. All PO Box or Parcel Locker addresses will be shipped via Australia Post, we cannot ship orders via DHL to a PO Box or Parcel Locker. International Taxes and Duties

Local taxes and customs duties are not included in your purchase. Please check with your local authority to obtain the applicable rates prior to purchasing as these are payable by the purchaser. Regulations and guidelines differ by country.  



All prices on this website are in AUD. We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue prices and/or products without notice at any time. 



We want to make sure that you're completely happy with your Hakea pieces and understand it can be daunting buying swimwear online. To make things a little easier if you’re unhappy with your selection or the fit is not quite right, please email us within 7 days of receiving your order to request a refund or exchange. Include the reason for return and title the subject line “Return/Exchange”.  

Returned garment(s) must be in their original condition, unworn and unwashed with all tags and hygiene labels still attached. Please make sure that swimwear is tried on over your own underwear in the interests of hygiene. Garments will be inspected prior to approving any refunds or exchanges. We reserve the right to refuse a return if it does not reach our standards.

Please note garment(s) must be returned to us within 14 days of the date you received your delivery. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer – we recommend including tracking and insurance as any garment(s) lost in transit are the responsibility of the customer. 

Exchanges and refunds will be processed and sent out within 3-5 business days upon receiving and approval of garment(s) and you will be notified via email. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable and may be applicable unless the item is deemed faulty. 



Exchanges are subject to availability. For domestic exchanges we will dispatch your exchanged order once via regular post at no extra charge. If multiple exchanges occur, you will be charged postage to send the exchanged items back to you. 

For international exchanges, we recommend ordering the new garment(s) you wish to exchange for online and then returning the original garment(s) to be processed as a refund once received back to us. Shipping charges to send the exchanged item are the responsibility of the customer.

Please choose carefully as we do not offer refunds or exchanges on sale items, this includes discount codes and flash sales.


Faulty items

We take the utmost care in ensuring Hakea garments are made to the highest quality standards. Whilst we hope this never happens, if you do receive a faulty item please email us at quoting your order number and outlining the fault.

The full cost including original shipping will be refunded for garment(s) deemed faulty. Garment(s) will be assessed upon return to identify the cause of the fault and the nature of wear. We reserve the right to repair, replace or refund garments we have deemed faulty. Please follow the care instructions on the label as damages caused by wear and tear are not considered faulty.
